Why isn't my option set saving?

If Infinite Options doesn't seem to save your changes, this is almost always expected behavior, not a bug. Here's how saving works and what to check if changes aren't sticking.

Changes are not saved automatically

Infinite Options does not auto-save. Every change you make in the editor, adding a field, editing an option, reordering, deleting, needs to be saved manually before it takes effect on your storefront.

Where to find Save and Discard

As soon as you make an edit, Save and DIscard buttons appear in the top right corner of the editor. Click Save to apply your changes, or Discard to revert them.

If you navigate away or close the tab before clicking Save, your changes are lost, since they were never saved.

If you don't see the Save and Discard buttons

A couple of situations commonly get mistaken for a save failure:

• Navigating away (closing the tab, clicking to another page, refreshing) before clicking Save. The change was never saved in the first place.

• The Infinite Options theme app block isn't installed on the storefront theme. In this case, the option set saves correctly in the editor, but won't display on the product page because the app block that renders it isn't active.
