# Native Bundling and Shopify Discounts

### How Discounts Work with Native Bundling

**Think of it like a gift set.** Once the products are bundled together, Shopify treats them as one bundled purchase when applying discounts. Because of this, any bundled add-ons are discounted whenever the parent product qualifies for a Shopify discount.

### Can I exclude bundled add-ons from Shopify discounts?

No. Shopify doesn't provide a way to discount only the main product while excluding bundled add-ons. If a Shopify discount applies to your parent product, it also applies to any bundled add-ons.

### Which discounts are affected?

This applies regardless of how your Shopify discount is configured, including:

* Percentage discounts
* Fixed amount discounts
* Buy X Get Y promotions
* Discount codes
* Automatic discounts

It also doesn't matter whether your discount is limited to a specific product or collection. If the bundled product qualifies for the discount, the bundled add-ons are discounted as well.

### Example

Your store sells:

* T-shirt: **$20**
* Gift wrap add-on: **$5**

A customer purchases the T-shirt with gift wrap and applies a **10% off** discount.

Because Shopify treats the purchase as a bundled product for discount purposes, the gift wrap also receives a 10% discount.
