Turn on Infinite Options for Your Theme

Before your custom options can appear on your storefront, you'll need to turn on the Infinite Options app embed in your theme.

This only needs to be completed once for each Shopify theme you use.

Once enabled, Infinite Options automatically displays your options above the Add to Cart button on your product pages. No manual placement required.

Enable Infinite Options by Turning on the App Embed

Step 1: Open the Theme Editor

From your Shopify admin:

• Go to Online Store > Themes.

• Click Customize next to your current theme.

Step 2: Turn On the Infinite Options App Embed

In the header of the theme editor:

• Click the App embeds icon.

• Find Infinite Options in the list.

• Toggle it on.

Step 3: Save Your Changes

Click Save in the upper-right corner.

Once saved, your options will automatically appear above the Add to Cart button on your product pages.

Optional: Manually Position Your Options Within a Product Template

The app embed places your options in the default position, above the Add to Cart button.

Follow the steps below only if you want your options to appear at an exact spot instead. This involves the Infinite Options Fields block to your product template manually.

Step 1: Open the Theme Editor

From your Shopify admin:

• Go to Online Store > Themes.

• Click Customize next to your current theme.

Step 2: Open Your Product Template

At the top of the theme editor:

• Click the page selector dropdown.

• Select Products.

• Choose your product template.

The product template controls how your product pages look. Most merchants use the Default product template.

Step 3: Add the Infinite Options Fields Block

In the left sidebar:

• Locate the section that contains your product information, such as the title, price, variants, and Add to Cart button.

• Click Add block.

• Open the Apps tab.

• Select Infinite Options Fields.

Note: Only add one Infinite Options Fields block to your product template. It will automatically display every Option Set assigned to that product.

Step 4: Save Your Changes

Click Save in the upper-right corner.

Once you've saved your changes, any Option Sets you create and assign in Infinite Options will automatically appear on your product pages.

You can now begin creating options.

Where Infinite Options Can Be Displayed

Infinite Options can display on:

• Product pages

• Featured product sections that display a single product

Infinite Options can't display on:

• Collection pages

• Quick view popups

• Sections that display multiple products

Switching Themes?

If you switch to a new Shopify theme, you'll need re-enable the app embed in the new theme's editor before your options will appear.

Your Option Sets and settings are preserved, but the app embed isn't toggled on automatically between theme changes.

This also applies if you:

• Duplicate a theme and publish the duplicate.

• Install a new theme.

• Have a developer build a new theme for your store.

Troubleshooting

My options aren't appearing

Check that:

• The Option Set is assigned to the correct product.

• The Option Set has been saved.

• The Infinite Options Fields block has been added to the correct product template.

• You're viewing the same theme you installed Infinite Options on.

My options are not showing

Do I need more than one Infinite Options Fields block?

The Infinite Options Fields block is no longer required for your options to display.

However, if you've chosen to manually position your options within a product form, each product template only needs one Infinite Options Fields block. That single block will display every Option Set assigned to the product.

Adding additional blocks won't display more options and may cause your options to appear multiple times.

My options still aren't appearing

Try the following:

• Refresh your browser.

• Preview the theme again.

• Confirm you're viewing a product that's assigned to your Option Set.
